Advice on course selection, graduation requirements, and registration is given by an academic assistant in each department. New international students need to enroll in courses on the first day of the semester, while current international students should confer with their academic assistant during the official enrollment period.
The exact period for registering will be posted on the GNU website (Hot News) in advance. Students should register on-line for the course you want to take.
Students usually take two exams in each semesters.
Student performance is usually graded on a 100 point scale. Except for a few courses, students are subjected to a bell-curve way of grading.

Each course is independently assessed in one Semester. Usually a three-credit course consists of three hours per week of classroom teaching for 16 weeks all within one Semester.
As a GNU students, it is necessary to have a student card. An academic assistant in each department will help international students to fill out the application for a student card which can be used as a cash card. It means students have to open a bank account to get issued a student card. Students card also can be used as a library card.
GNU provides the following academic certificates both in Korean and English
They can be issued in the 24 hour-operated vending machines which are located both in the lobby and inside of the General Student Service Center. It is charged you a fee of 300 won in Korean and 500 won in English.
